For the past year and a half I have had severe pain from tendonitis in my left shoulder. I have gone through 5 months of physical thearapy and nothing changed. The pain weakned a little. However, after completing an Army fitness test, I made it even worse. The pain grew and sleeping at night was hard.
SInce I have been home, I saw an orthopedic doctor. This doctor recommended the shot. There is some circumstance where physical therapy cannot fix everything. I asked my doctor multiple questions about what the shot does; it is suppose to relieve all pain and get rid of the tendonitis over a weeks time. My only worry about this shot was if it would damage anything in my shoulder. My doctor told me that they have personally done tests on this topic and everything has come back good. Ever since I recieved this shot 4 days ago my shoulder has been good. There has been no more pain and I have retained my full range of motion again. Cortisone shots can be used all over the body and at some point you should talk to your doctor if you have pain that is not going away.
